Mount Bromo, Mountains are located in East Java this is a very beautiful mountain in Indonesia. The mountain is already well known to foreign countries. This mountains located in the area of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is very famous for its beautiful sunrise.

Behind the beauty who owned Mount Bromo, there are people who live there. They called the Tengger tribe. Tribes that have lived on the slopes of the bromo have been living here since hundreds of years ago. There is no record of exactly since when this tribe lived in this area.


This tribe has a majority Hindu religion.. They believe that they are descendants of the kingdom of Majapahit (great kingdom on the island of Java). The name "Tengger" is derived from the name of "Roro Anteng" and "Joko Seger". "Roro Anteng" and "Joko Seger" is believed to be the first person to stay in this location.


To be able to see the culture of the Tengger, you should come on when they do Kasodo ceremony. Kasodo ceremony is an annual ceremony that is always held by the Tengger tribe. The ceremony was held at midnight to early morning every full moon around 14 or 15 in Kasodo (tenth) according to the Javanese calendar. This ceremony is a symbol of thanksgiving to their God "Sang Hyang Widi". In this ceremony they ask the gods to be given a bountiful harvest, prosperity and avoid all kinds of diseases. In exchange they also brought offerings to be thrown into the crater of Bromo.


In the evening peak Kasodo ceremony, held performances of dance that tells the origin and history of the Tengger tribe. Many tourists who attend and participate in this ceremony. They come from other cities in Indonesia and even many who come from overseas. This ceremony is eagerly awaited by the tourists. because the ceremony is only held once a year. Many tourists from abroad took attend just to come and witness the culture of Tengger which is very amazing.



Besides Kasodo ceremony, Tengger tribe also have another ceremony that "the Feast of Karo" and "unan-unan", traditional ceremonies associated with a person's life cycle, such as the birth ("Sayut Ceremony", "Cuplak Puser", "Tugel Kuncung"), married ("Walagara Ceremony"), death ("Entas-Entas ", etc.), traditional ceremonies associated with agriculture, build houses, and natural phenomena such as "Leliwet" and "Barikan".

 Ijen crater, is a very interesting tourist destination in East Java. Ijen volcano is still active with a height of 2,443 m above sea level. Temperatures here between 2-8 degrees Celsius. with an area of about 5466 hectare, Ijen is a set of mountains with craters in the middle. Ijen crater area is part of the 3 districts, ie Banyuwangi, Situbondo and Bondowoso.

Good morning, on this occasion I will give you information about one of the beautiful beach on the east end of Java Island. Red Island beach, the location of this beach is located in the district of Banyuwangi.  Precisely located in the village Sumberagung, subdistrict Pesanggaran. Beach with a coastline ± 3 km is a ideal destination for you and your family.


Banyuwangi government do a lot of ways to introduce this beach to the general public. For example by holding a Surfing Competition in Red Island Beach 24-26 May 2013. The competition was participated by 20 countries.
